EKSU Online Screening and Matric Number Guide for 2025/2026 Academic Session

EKSU Online Screening and Matric Number Guide for 2025/2026 Academic Session

Dear EKSU aspirants, this comprehensive guide will walk you through everything you need to know about the EKSU Online Screening, O’Level Verification, and Matric Number Activation. Whether you’ve just gained admission or are still waiting, following these steps carefully will help you avoid delays or errors during your registration process.

Step 1: Log in to the EKSU Admission Portal

Visit the official EKSU Admission Portal using your JAMB Registration Number and password. This is where you’ll access your admission profile and screening dashboard.

Step 2: Check Your Admission and Screening Status

After logging in, check your Admission Status and proceed to the Online Screening section. Ensure that all personal details (such as your full name, date of birth, and local government) match your information on your JAMB record.

Step 3: Pay at Least 70% of School Fees Before Screening

Before beginning your online screening, you must pay at least 70% of your approved EKSU school fees. The portal will not allow you to proceed if your payment is below this percentage.

To make payment, log in to the EKSU student portal and follow the Remita payment link. Ensure that you pay only through the official EKSU Remita platform.

Important Tips for School Fees Payment

  • Pay a minimum of 70% of your total fees to access the screening section.
  • Always cross-check your payment details before confirming.
  • Use only the official Remita platform to prevent failed or duplicate payments.
  • Keep your payment receipts and RRR codes safe for future reference.
  • If a payment fails, wait for the reversal before attempting again.

Step 4: Pay All Other Required Dues

Apart from school fees, students must also pay their faculty dues, departmental dues, and other mandatory charges. Failure to do so may prevent access to the screening section of the portal.

Step 5: Upload All Required Documents

Once payments are verified, log in to your EKSU Student Portal and upload all necessary documents for your screening. Ensure all files are clear, properly named, and in the required format.

Documents Required for Screening

  • Birth Certificate
  • JAMB Admission Letter
  • EKSU Admission Letter
  • O’Level Result (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB)
  • State of Origin Certificate
  • Local Government Identification Letter
  • Affidavit of Good Conduct
  • Guarantor’s or Attestation Letter

Step 6: O’Level Verification

O’Level verification is one of the most important steps in the EKSU admission process. If your verification is disapproved, your matric number will not be generated, and you will not be able to proceed with course registration.

Consequences of O’Level Disapproval

  • Matric number not issued
  • Delay in registration and clearance
  • Possible disqualification from your department
  • Portal access restrictions

Note: NECO Result e-Verification is highly important and must be done correctly.

Step 7: Matric Number Generation

Once your screening and O’Level verification are approved, your Matric Number will be automatically generated. This officially confirms you as a student of Ekiti State University (EKSU).

If your matric number does not appear immediately, check back after a few days or contact EKSU support for clarification.
