The management of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, has officially released the guidelines for its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. This screening is mandatory for all UTME and DE candidates seeking admission.

Note: The EKSU Post-UTME screening will be online (no physical examination).

EKSU Post-UTME 2025 Key Dates and Eligibility (When is EKSU Form Closing?)

The screening exercise officially commenced on Wednesday, 13th August 2025. Candidates are strongly advised to apply promptly.

 Important Deadline Note: Direct Entry (DE) candidates must ensure their transcripts reach the university via email by Friday, 19th September 2025.

Who is Eligible to Apply?

  • UTME Candidates who chose EKSU and scored 150 and above in the 2025 UTME.
  • UTME Candidates who did not choose EKSU initially but scored 150 and above and are ready to change their institution of first choice to EKSU on JAMB CAPS.
  • Direct Entry (DE) Candidates who chose EKSU.
  • Successful students from EKSU Pre-Degree and JUPEB Programmes (JUPEB minimum of 7 points accepted; IJMB is NOT accepted).

Who Should NOT Apply Yet?

  • Candidates who are awaiting the results of their Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE). You must apply as soon as your results are released.

EKSU Minimum UTME Scores and Departmental Cut-Off Marks

The general minimum cut-off is 150, but competitive programmes require higher scores. Candidates with lower scores for a specific program must change their course on JAMB CAPS to an eligible alternative.

How to Apply for EKSU Post-UTME 2025 (Step-by-Step Guide)

Follow these clear instructions to successfully access and complete your application on the official EKSU application portal.

Step 1: Access the EKSU Application Portal

  1. Go to the official EKSU portal: eksuportal.eksu.edu.ng
  2. Click on ADMISSION. You will be directed to the online application portal or use the direct sign-up link: https://eksuportal.eksu.edu.ng/app\_signup

Step 2: Sign Up and Log In

  1. Sign Up: Provide the required details to create an account. MAKE SURE YOU PROVIDE YOUR ACTIVE E-MAIL ADDRESS AND PERSONAL PHONE NUMBER; a verification email will be sent.
  2. Log In: Click LOGIN. Use your CORRECT E-mail address or JAMB registration number as 'username' and enter your password.
  3. Select Application: On your dashboard, select the type of application (2025/2026 PUTME application).

Step 3: Fill Form and Make Payment

  1. Input JAMB No: Input your JAMB Registration Number (UTME). Information for candidates who chose EKSU will be populated automatically. Others must fill in all correct details.
  2. Payment: Click on PAY NOW to make the required online payment for the PUTME Screening Form.
  3. Form Completion: On successful payment, the application form will open.
  4. Attach your 1" x 1" coloured passport photograph (red background, JPEG format only).
  5. Upload details of your 'O'Level result(s) obtained at not more than two (2) sittings (WASC/SSCE, NECO and NABTEB).

Step 4: Final Submission and Printout

  1. After completing the above processes, preview, confirm, and SUBMIT the form.
  2. Print out the completed screening form for reference.

Mandatory Requirements and Transcripts

  • O'Level Result: EKSU will admit only candidates who made at least five (5) Credit passes in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB in the relevant subjects AT NOT MORE THAN TWO (2) SITTINGS.
  • Direct Entry (DE) Transcripts: DE candidates should send their transcripts via this e-mail address: admissions.registration@eksu.edu.ng on or before Friday, 19th September, 2025, failing which their applications will not be considered.
  • NECO Results: Candidates with NECO results must submit their "Result Verification Tokens" at the Admissions Office or visit the NECO website (http://everify.neco.gov.ng) and input the verification email address: admissions.verification@eksu.edu.ng.
  • Warning: Any candidate who fails to participate in the screening exercise will not be considered for admission.
